Contest Brief

Application Description:
This app collates and shows the best and most popular tech blogs ( related to programming) covering various

technologies like .net, Java, SQL, Web, Mobile, Others etc
A short description along with an image would be shown. On selecting this would open the original blog inside a web control.

Screens
1) Splash screen
2) Initial Info/Instruction screen shown on first time installation
3) Main screen showing either
the categories with unread post number
or the top New posts/articles
4) On selection of a category, user is navigated to a scrollable screen (horizontal/vertical)
This screen contains the article showing an image, title & description. There would also be a like

button, share button, author Name, and an original blog link.
There will also be a "navigate to Top/First" button which would scroll the list back to the first entry.
5) Selection of blog link would Navigate to a screen containing web control loading the blog, Only a back

button is required to be designed here as the web control would occupy most space.
6) Menu Screen (triggered from the Main Screen)
Contains toggle buttons for subscribing to notifications based on categories

The screen showing the article (screen 4) may not have an image, or an default image related to its category would be shown. Most programming blog articles dont have an showcase image.

You are allowed to come up with own ideas/screens, remember that the end users would be mostly technical persons and the content is related to programming.

This app design will be used in both - iOS and Android, so please keep that in mind that it has to work on phones and tablets for iOS and Android. You can create a common design for both devices.

Hello Deepak,
I'm in for the contest and initial screen been already designed(in my mind :p ) well just need to know, what if you will get few quality entries, will refund your money or you'll choose winner if you find quality work?

  This is a guaranteed contest, and I'm ready pay even if there is 1 good quality entry. And yes, we look for a single quality design rather than multiple entries of generic designs.

  Well, the main screen can contain the categories list shown as boxes inside a wrap panel. Inside the box would display the unread post count, with background image. The main screen would also contain an menu button on top maybe. The above is just a sample to understand the data, different innovative designs are also welcome.
