Name our Android app. Code named Grey Galaxy.

Contest Brief

We are struggling to come up with a good name for our new Android app we are developing. We only have 3 people on the team so we are kind of at a dead end so we are turning to you.

The app is designed to help small to medium businesses track and protect their mobile devices. We have a consumer version called Where's My Droid. You can check it out here http://wheresmydroid.com. This new corporate version will be just about the same thing but with extra security and large device support. You can check out the website in progress here http://grey-galaxy.appspot.com/index.html. It still in early development so expect a few things to be broken and content to not be finished.

The only constraint is that we want it to sound professional. Thank you for your time.

      It doesn't really relate to a tracking app. Its the Greek word for infinite. But it just sounds cool and unique.

    It's funny how many people chose greek names! Soteria -as a word- actually means "saviour" and apiros means "infinite". I find it a bit weird that people like our words, do they seem...mysterious or something?

    sir...i think it will b more effective to pick one name from the final 8 by discussing with your teammates than to create a poll to choose one...anyway its up to you to make the final decision..good luck!!

    ANCHORO is the word ANCHOR with an stylistic O at the end, which makes it sound international. I think the word "anchor" captures all the elements you wanted to portray: safe, secure, location-minded, etc. Also, if you want to make the bottom of the anchor icon look like a smile, that could also project the "relax -- got you covered" sentiment too. But I didn't focus on the graphics, just the name. See my submission notes for more info. Nonetheless, wishing you the best of luck with the app!

    Thank you all for the entries so far. I do want to say we need to avoid the name Droid or Android as those have complicated trademarks. I should also say we are trying to avoid names that are just two words stuck together like MobApp. We would take something like that but it has to sound like its one word.
