Hi

I am looking for a designer / illustrator to initially create a series of characters that will be used in a self published set of children's books, focussing on the 'Outback Adventures' of a boy, his sister and a number of other characters. Cartoon style that can be later used in other applications such as animation, apps, video etc. Very open to visual suggestions.

The initial brief is to provide designs of the following characters, using outback Australia themes and design elements:

Boy and Girl aged around 10 years old
Father ( Stockman style )
Mother ( In appropriate clothing )
Dog ( Based on Australian Blue Cattle Dog )
Horses x 2 ( One each for the boy and girl characters )
Home ( Based on Australian Cattle Station )

  I prefer your design over the others submitted, however in terms of 'wants', I am looking for something closer to the cartoon style I posted. My feedback rating was based on the style only.

I think I can nail this for you, what with being an Aussie myself I really understand Heck, I grew up with blue cattle dogs so I don't even need to check out the references.
