Contest Brief

Musclehangers produce unique wooden clothing hangers for sleeveless garments. Musclehangers will be marketed as a high end and exquisite product - an important aspect which must be represented in the packaging you design. The packaging will be split into two asepects:

1. The first element of the packaging is to be a cardboard aspect which can be placed over the top of the hanger - this will remain on the product when it is displayed/hung in shops. This aspect should consist of the logo on the front and website (www.musclehangers.com) suitably located on either the back or the front. As a new product we want the branding to be obvious, but the website details to be more subtle as we feel that an overly large website graphic would devalue the appearance of the product. Our slogan is 'embrace unique' - this can be placed on the front also as part of the logo.

2. The second element will be the musclehangers box. The hanger will be placed in this box once purchased, or shipped in this box if purchased online. Again we would like the box to represent that of a high end product. EXTERIOR - The musclehangers logo should be placed on the center top of the box (embossed). This can either be with the slogan 'embrace unique' or alternatively the slogan can be placed elsewhere if the designer feels appropriate/more aesthetically pleasing. Lastly inside the box we would like a foam insert in which the musclehanger can be perfectly placed into. We also feel that it would be suitable to have the website (musclehangers.com) placed somewhere on the box. we would like the exterior of the box to be as seamless as possible - potentially with just a lid that opens and remains attached opposed to one like a shoe box.

COLOURS - We feel that a black box with silver writing/logos etc would look smart HOWEVER we are certainly open to creative suggestions.

DIMENSIONS - The designer does not need to worry about dimensions at this stage as the dimensions of the hanger are being finalized - so focus simply the design.

Attachements - please see all of the attachments which include the logo and slogan, the hanger itself (displayed in blue however the actual product will be made from wood) as well as rough guidance images to give you an idea of what we would like.

We would expect the winner, once chosen, to work through a few different colour schemes with us and potentially make a few minor amendments as to the location and sizing of the graphics etc if required.
