Contest Brief

I’m putting together a pocket-sized, 3 x 4-inch blood sugar log that will cover 13 full weeks. The book will be small enough to fit in a purse or pocket, so clean typography and an uncluttered layout are essential.

Interior layout
• Each two-sided page must track exactly one week, with space for four meals per day.
• For every meal I need two side-by-side boxes: “Before” and “After” glucose readings.
• All headings, column labels, and any fixed text must appear in both English and Spanish.
• The structure should follow a clear table format, as this was my preferred option.

Cover
I’d like an attractive front cover that feels professional yet approachable—think something a patient wouldn’t mind pulling out in public. The back cover can echo the front’s style or stay simple; up to you, as long as it coordinates.

Deliverables
1. Print-ready PDF (300 dpi, CMYK, with appropriate bleed) of the full 13-week booklet.
2. Editable source file (InDesign, Illustrator, or Affinity Publisher are all fine).
3. A separate high-resolution image of the front cover for marketing use.

Please keep margins generous enough for trimming and binding, and make sure the interior grid remains legible at this small size. If you have suggestions for subtle icons, color coding, or other touches to improve usability, let me know—I’m open to ideas as long as the core requirements above remain intact.
