Contest Brief

I am carefully monitoring for plagiarism, which is strictly prohibited and grounds for elimination.

Guaranteed Winner: Due to the unconventional nature of this particular challenge, we cannot at this time guarantee a reward. However, should we receive at least one exceptional entrie, we will upgrade this to a guaranteed winner contest. Keep in mind, there can only be one winner, so this really shouldn't have any bearing on the effort you put forth either way.

The contest is to make an animated video like the one linked under, where we will do the drawings you need for the animation, and the only thing you need is to put it together and we will make the rest!

The referenced video can be scripted as a web animation and even if you provide all the files, it's still low on the budget. But you would have web animation (to embed on your website) and video if needed (with screencasting full screen etc). I'm interested in your opinion (complete video can be recreated as a 100% exact web animation, no issues here).

We will give drawing/storyboard/script + music here soon! Our artist is a very high skilled drawer but we have no experience in animation. So he had a question, do you need a drawing for every movment our can you do you just need to change the moving part?

If you feel like it would be easier to draw it yourself you can also do that, and i will give the music and an exstra 50$. Agian this is very simpel animation like this we are looking for = https://vimeo.com/26427650

Also, I have to say, maybe Spotify didn't pay 150 for the ad, but that was 4 years ago. If you give me the music and drawings and images, I could do that same animation in 3 to 7 days working only on my free time.

BTW, only more than one drawing is neccesary when something/someone has a change of status/perspective. For example, a button that is pushed and is shown before and after being pushed, or different angles of the earth rotating.

I'll attach tomorrow a link of a video done in around 5 days.

Hello there, I animate professionally, I have specialized doing animation with commercial, advertisement and communications purposes.

Regarding ypur question, it is not mandatory to give us the drawing of every movement, it is better if your artists focuses on the character with all the details needed, however, it helps a lot if the character is subdivided in a way that makes it easier to animate (See link for example). However, if the character is as the one in the link you sent, it is not neccesary in that way, an .ai file is enough if each part is made individually (arms in one layer, drum in another, drumstick in yet another one.

And also if you want any specific prop or any given background should be done separately from the character.
