Re-Design a Logo for a modern video platform

Contest Brief

We have a very nice logo currently but we feel the icon and the typography for the logo is dated and needs a more modern, cutting edge. cool, professional feel to it.

We want to keep the colours and the layout of the icon and wording the same but want to update the icon and font for a modern feel.

We need the new logo to work on a white as well as coloured backgrounds (as attached)

We need the videoreel icon to be iconic and work well in colour as well as black and white. This will be our app icon so needs to really standout within the full logo and on its own.

We also feel that the 'r' in videoreel now also needs to be in a Capital. so the logo reads 'VideoReel' (as the YouTube logo does)

Trying to get the right balance between professional, friendly but a cool logo all at the same time!

Attached are our current logo and icon. Looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.
