Contest Brief

We are an Australian not-for-profit organisation called Friends of Nepal. Our organisation is dedicated to improving the lives of people in Nepal. Currently our organisation is focused on rebuilding communities after the Nepal earthquake, however we have a long term view on enhancing education, social welfare and creating economic opportunities for remote communities of Nepal.

We are looking for an enthusiasic graphic designer who can help us communicate our ideas through beautiful visuals and pictures.

As a not-for-profit, we are looking for someone to work us on a pro bono basis (at least initially). What we can offer is an opportunity to build your portfolio and brand, build your professional network in Australia and internationally, give you a lot of creative autonomy (working collaboratively, of course!) and importantly, to contribute to a great cause which will help transform lives. Your work will be presented to high profile people and organisations including NGOs, government, industry groups, and corporations and celebrity patrons so be ready for some high profile work!

Our first task is the design a one page info-graphic which encapsulates who we are and our 5 point strategic agenda. We are a strategic organisation, and converting ideas into graphics is a key part of the role. We inviting submissions to work on this task with a view to selecting a graphic designer who we can engage on a more long term basis.

We will ask the successful designer to assist us with the following
1. Create a professional logo based on a temporary logo we are currently using
2. Social media landing pages (Facebook etc)
3. Design a simple HTML website

This is a great opportunity to gain international exposure and build your brand whilst working on a great cause. If you are passionate and creative, we would love to hear from you!

Our $100 fee is a nominal fee to partially cover your costs to do the above work Please note that on an on-going basis this is a voluntary position with "in-kind" perks so please only create a submission if you can commit in the medium to long term!!
