Hi freelancers.

Firstly - Please read the brief - it is essential that your design retains elements of our existing logo - we are not looking for a brand new design but a re-working of the existing logo. How far you deviate from the existing design is up to you - surprise us !

We are a resort in Vanuatu. It is not really "plop and drop" type people who come and spend all their holiday by the pool - our market tends to get out and about more - exploring the real Vanuatu - they are more adventurous. It takes a bit of effort to get out to our island so we are not a mainstream resort at all - our bungalows do not have air conditioning but the resort and surrounding gardens are very tidy and comfortable. I hope this helps you all a little with your creativity !

We are modernizing our website and need a re working of the old logo - We would like to re-work the elements of the original logo into a new design that still retains the brand identity of the original logo but is fresh and modern in much the same way that corporates do from time to time when they freshen their brand.

Here is the brief.

This is a resort - it has laid back and breezy style that should be reflected in the work

The new logo should be in a horizontal orientation suitable for running along the top of a web page to the left of the main menu.

The font should be freshened up and the words "Aore Resort" or "Aore Island Resort" should be prominent in the design. We like the idea that the font for these words would be of a freehand style.

The original pallete can be varied somewhat but not too much - the colors should be more vibrant.

Please feel free to submit multiple concepts - they do not have to be over developed near perfect jobs - just an idea of where you would go with this. If you are the winner we expect that you would work with us to fine tune the design to our satisfaction as part of the prize money not as a separate fee.

We will need artwork vector drawings and the finished photoshop document with layers intact.

Upon completion of the project we will have full ownership and copyright of artwork. We will need this in writing.

Hello everyone - we have awarded the contest to entry #100 . We felt challenged by this entry as it took us further from our original logo that we had imagined but were drawn to its elegant simplicity, its scalability and the way it fits with our new website under construction. There were several other entries under consideration and so sorry there can be only 1 winner. We were astounded by the number and quality of the entries - many of which could easily have taken the prize if our web design was going in other directions. Thanks again everyone for your fantastic efforts.

  Hi thanks for the entry - we are looking for something in the horozontal format as per the brief. I dont really like the little guy straining to hold the sail - he looks to be in pain and that is not what island holidays are about - I certainly prefer bold graphic work and not quite so clip arty. I hope this feedback is useful to you. Would you like to try this as a horizontal with a reworked icon ?
