Contest Brief
I'm expecting rhinoceros/grasshoper model, the context will be extended to be open to submissions for 3 days with 14 days period of deferral in between extensions.
Pretty much a saucer, and almost for my entertainment. This is not an actual contest, I can't bother with finding myself 5th designer to see if he gets it. I got the design chart, but what's difficult is that it has highly complicated first stage of fans which isn't exactly the fan or the compressor. It needs to be as flat as possible (45 degrees at the outer edge). Create as many constraints as possible for me to use (most importantly for angles of attack on blades and stuff and something). The conical shaped blades would resemble something like ventillation in attachments.
And the specifications: meter wide, 15 cm gap between the base and the case, the hole on top should be like 35 centimeters and the 1st stage of fans should begin right beneath the edge of the hole (2nd stage of blades should be outside of upper opening). The gap between case and base may be bigger near the upper opening (30 cm), but then the gap between lower part of the base and the case should be bigger as well (last attachment.)
Im considering pulse version of this, therefore I may ask the winner to redesign this after simulation if not have winner run simulations for me.
P.S. There should be 180 degree twist from point of attachment to the base for 1st stage/row of blades towards conical formation. At the top of formation there should be 90 degree twist.
P.S.S. Compiled the pictures together because it's just inhumane to expect resemblance to be recognized between the several.
