This project was awarded previously to another Freelancer who went MIA mid-project (Freelancer is "unawarding" her the previous contest). We are now a week delayed from the deadline. Please do not submit to this contest if you are not available to work on it immediately. Target deadline for a copy to submit to band on this Friday, 10/20 with their changes (and last draft) to be completed no later than Tuesday, 10/24.
TO SUBMIT TO THIS CONTEST, PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR CONCEPT FOR PAGES 2 AND 3 OF THE BROCHURE.
Take existing of cover art for a 4-page sponsorship brochure (attached "Backspace Cover Art (last from Melissa)") for a fun charity concert, and implement requested changes below SKILLFULLY and ARTFULLY. Unfortunately, the Freelancer did not turn the vector file before she disappeared. All I have of the current draft of her work is a PDF.
After cover has been set, create pages 2 through 4 based on the below description.
CHANGES TO BROCHURE COVER
1. For the backspace logo, the guitar needs to be parallel directly under the word Backspace. The concept is that the word backspace should run along the line and then the guitar appears off to the right.
2. show Oscar’s knuckles for his two fingers in between the ones that are outstretched. It just look like he only has two fingers.
3. Seems that guitarist on far left with sunglasses stands out more than the rest of y'all -- can we either bump my (transparency?) levels down or bring y'all's up?
4. Can we swap it so the drums "center" with the woman and guitarist to the far left together?
5. Alphabetize the logos on the trashcan, delete Zep logos, and add AC/DC.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAGES 2 THROUGH 4 (see attached "BS Sponsorship Brochure" for copy)
The support opportunities (ie sponsorship packages) should span both inside pages. W/r/t the first 3 paragraphs above, I had envisioned that it would only be on page 2, but I look to you if it looks unbalanced.
W/r/t graphics, I envision recreating the stage from the cover to frame the sponsorship packages, as if the “stars” are the sponsors/sponsorship opportunities. So, bottom is stage, top is lighting equipment, left of page 2 to is stage framing , and far right of page 3 is stage framing.
I want to retain the “rocker” feel, and the playfulness of playing the A, B, Cs. I imagine using font (particularly for sponsorship package names) to communicate that.
In addition, I like the effect of using small graphics/images scattered throughout the 2 pages. Please see attached "Complete Brochure- Final" from a previous event, pages 4 and 5 from a previous gala we did. I am looking to recreate the effect of the contortionist and high-wire walker, but appropriate for this event.
Is it possible to take a couple of the band members and put them in KISS makeup, hiding them behind graphics (the framing of the stage/curtains/speakers/lighting), and/or the lettering? Maybe we could even Photoshop the attached photo so that he has KISS makeup and his tongue sticking out, a la Gene Simmons We could add maybe another Sesame Street character too, to keep it consistent with the cover.
Also, I want to carry over the lighting effect you created from the cover, but perhaps a little more subdued so that the words overlaying it aren’t drowned out by the background.]
The last page of the brochure can be even simpler than the 2 interior pages, as I am not sure the single page lends itself to a full stage set-up. Maybe keep the stage effects at the top and bottom, but don’t frame it to the left and right. Also, all logos can be done in white to keep it consistent, and have it pop against the stage lighting (subdued like in the 2 interior pages)]
There are also photos of the band, etc. in a Dropbox folder- [url removed, login to view]
