Hi. I need to automate pulling reports from a few websites, the data pulled from those websites to be compiled into a single Excel document, and customize the formatting of the Excel document. It's a very basic report that is needed but I need someone who is experienced and expert at scripting.

I noticed this browser plugin (iMacros (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/imacros-for-firefox/)) but was told its capabilities would need to be modified to get the job done. I don't care how we do it, I just need it done.

May I ask you these questions?
1. Do you need a browser plugin or a desktop program written in some programming language to do this job?
2. You need to "automate pulling reports from a few websites". Can you give examples on this? Do you need whole content of a web page from a link or just some contents within that page.
3. What exactly are the inputs and outputs? Are inputs website's link, webpage's link or anything else? What excel formatting do you want? Can you give details about the plugin or program's user interface?

Do you really need this to be done through a browser? Why not use a desktop application (or maybe a web application)? It can read & extract all the data you require and produce a ready excel document as its output.

iMacros plugin for Firefox has very limited capabilities, extract data to CSV file, without any formatting.

  OK. Then I need the data formatted and a few simple calculations done on an Excel spreadsheet. It needs to be automated though. Can you help or do you know anyone who can? Should I post the job on eLance?
