I'm needing a programmer to help me fix some bugs on a phpBB2 forum software, to improve few features that are already programmed, and also to help changing the color codes for a Dark Mode style. As said in the title, I need to move an existing PhpBB board powered by Icy Phoenix and based on phpBB2, to a new PhpBB3. The existing board is only based on PhpBB2, so there are some difference on database structure compared to a vanilla PhpBB2. So it's not possible to use a converter, ma some operations must be done manually. I need a PHPBB2 Forum converted into PHPBB3. We are migrating hosts as well. I have a full backup of the current database as well as all of the forum files. First task will be to get the PHPBB2 working on YOUR server with the database restored. Once that is done I need a full working backup copy of that made. Store those working files as .zips. I need a backup of this because on the current server their using an older version of MYSQL, so when you import into a newer version you will more that likely have fix some import errors to get the import to work correctly. Once I can see that the forums are working correctly with PHPBB2, I need them converted to PHPBB3. I need help with converting a phpBB2 MySQL database to a phpBB3 one. Currently I am trying this locally and it fails at step 17 of conversion ( with the converter provided by phpBB3 ) with no obvious error. I prefer that the work is done via TeamViewer on my localhost but I can provide the MSQL backup and the current version of phpBB2 install if absolutely necessary.
