The latest 3.8+ version of QGIS has good tilemap rending capability and may help some performance issues we're having with TileMill. If you're up for this project, please let me know
...You are not providing the image tile outputs, just a work flow that allows me to download the source files and use the command line to output the tiles. I will be using this to cut tiles from Zoom 12 to 17 so that should be tested to work. Using tilemill could be an option too if all the counties of a state can be stitched together to output the tile structure. I'm looking for a worker who experienced in creating maps using TileMill and/or Mapnik. I have a sample data (several MapInfo layers of some area) and want a pretty looking map to publish it online. This should be transparent png tiles for several zoom levels, I will use them as overlay to satellite imagery (like Google hybrid overlay).
I have 16 MapInfo layers for some small area and I need to render them as raster map tiles. I think that you need to combine MapInfo layers into a single shapefile (using QuantumGIS, for example), reproject to real world coordinates (if not, I didn't check it), then design the Mapnik style for that (using TileMill, for example) and then actually render it to png tiles. I'm not a gis-specialist and don't know about modern approaches, so I'm open to suggestion how to make this better.
This project will require both research and design to render 3 data layers to be input on a MapBox account. The three datasets to be rendered on a global scale should indicate: - Current worl...longitude (rather than country or region names), and for population and CO2 emissions, rendered as heatmap raster files (or a close visual equivalent) to be imported to MapBox. Please see for a list of relevant GIS data sources. MapBox accepts the following file types for data: .geojson, .gpx, .tif, .kml, zipped Shapefile or a MapBox Studio/Tilemill .mbtiles file). The main focus of this project is optimizing these layers for quick loading time. Additionally, any experience in using CartoCSS to style geospatial data is strongly preferred.
I want a Indiana state map that has parcel lines overlay (i have this parcel data), and i have proprietary data for each parcel. I would like to be able to rollover a parcel and see the data that I have. I imagine the website to look and behave like this: Click "Layer Gallery" top right, find "Land Parcels", click +Add La...this: Click "Layer Gallery" top right, find "Land Parcels", click +Add Layer, now click on the Map Viewer. I can't add my data to this website, so I need to same basic map. I have considered creating my own map tile server, but it might be too much (Overkill). Am considering using Do you have experience with , or apps like TileMill, and/or QGIS ? Thoughts? Aaron

We need a custom map made in Tilemill or other map making software using openstreetmap or other opensource map source and exported as a .mbtiles file. The map is of Gran Canaria in Spain and must be zoom level of 10-20+ and under 50mb, therefore higher zoom levels must show either blank data or pixelated data from zoom 16. The map will be exported and used with the mapbox sdk on a native iPhone app. We are looking for a quick turnaround on the map.

There will also be 24 small thumbnail showing the general area of the city the ride is in at the very beginning of each ride. We will use openstreetmap for our map data, giving proper CC attribution. We have prepared all the info (routing, symbol location) using google maps. Experience working with TileMIll (or similar) needed.
