Most of the time these emails are ignored as the customer went elsewhere/wasn't interested/just wanted a price/etc but as they have to click on Reply and send an email back to us to give us feedback it rarely happens. One of our suppliers has a system whereby a link is clicked in the chase email (which in our situation we can customise automatically to include whatever information is necessary i.e. quote number/etc) and a simple web form is opened up so they can give feedback without having to email back/have contact with us/etc. We feel this might be the way forward as it would encourage them to give feedback more easily (and thus help us close off quotes/proposals which are dead).
