I am doing a project for basic FMEA. It is a very small project. I have to analyze stress on a superheater U-tube with 50.8 mm (OD) and 5.7mm thickness. I want the project to be performed on ANSYS WORKBENCH. The temperature range will start at 700 C and end at 950 C with a increment of 50 C (pressure to remain constant while performing the simulation- 18 MPa). Also, I need a crack propagation analysis on horizontal/straight section of the pipe. Crack dimension will be h= 0.5 mm (on each side from center) and a= 2.4 mm (on each side from center). I am working on Non-Isothermal PE-100 pipe extrusion. I am applying cross law for viscosity dependence on shear rate and Arrhenius law for viscosity dependence on temperature in direct extrusion at POLYFLOW. When i run, it shows solution is not converge. When I change the viscosity to be not temperature dependent, then the solution can be converged. So there is any way to make it converge and in the same time take the temperature into account to determine the viscosity? where I am wrong? I am struck here. Kindly help me.
