As-Built Specialist for NJ Locations

Job Title: Freelance Surveyor / As-Built Specialist (North & Central NJ) Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented freelance surveyor or architectural drafter to perform on-site field measurements and produce accurate as-built drawings for buildings throughout North and Central New Jersey. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in interior surveying and can translate physical spaces into clean, well-organized CAD files. Scope of Work: You will be responsible for documenting existing conditions, including but not limited to: Architectural: Accurate floor plans featuring wall thicknesses, door/window schedules (sizes and types), and interior partitions. Electrical & MEP: Precise locations of electrical switches, outlets, and visible utility points. Finishes: Notation of floor, wall, and ceiling material finishes. Structural: Documentation of all visible structural elements (columns, load-bearing walls, etc.). Deliverables & Requirements: Format: Final files must be delivered in AutoCAD Architecture (.dwg) or standard AutoCAD. Accuracy: High precision is non-negotiable; drawings must reflect true field conditions. Location: Must be able to travel to various sites across North and Central NJ. Tools: Must provide your own measurement tools (laser distance meters, etc.) and software.
