I need a compact umbrella that can clip securely onto a 600 mm × 600 mm board. The entire unit—including canopy, ribs, and handle—should be based on plastic for light weight, durability, and easy cleaning. A screw-clamp fixing is mandatory; it has to tighten firmly without marring the board surface and should adjust for boards of slightly varying thicknesses. Your task is to translate this idea into a production-ready design. I’ll supply sketches of the board setup and usage scenarios as soon as we open the project, and I’d like to see an initial concept right away so we can refine it together—time is critical. Deliverables • Concept sketches or renderings showing overall form and clamp placement • 3D CAD files (STEP or SolidWorks) suitable for rapid prototyping or injection-mould tooling • Basic bill of materials highlighting plastic grades and screw-clamp hardware • Assembly and mounting instructions detailed enough for a prototype build If you can also flag manufacturing considerations that could cut tooling costs, let me know in your proposal.
