I’m developing a small-format biodegradable pot that nests perfectly inside standard 10 × 20 greenhouse trays, and I need a modular compression mold system engineered for repeatable runs. The composite will be made strictly from plant-based fibers, so draft angles, venting, and surface finish all have to respect the lower flow and higher porosity of that material. My dimensional guidelines are set—each pot is under four inches in diameter and keyed to 1020 tray spacing—but I still want your input to lock in wall thickness (probably 3/8"), fillets, perforations, alignment features that improve release and stacking. The system must let me change cavity count or swap inserts quickly, making small production batches as easy as full runs. I’ll rely on you for: • 3-D CAD of the mold set, including modular inserts • Manufacturing drawings and tolerances ready for CNC machining • A short run-up guide outlining press settings, cycle time, and demolding steps for plant-fiber composites Deliverables should arrive as STEP/SolidWorks files plus print-ready PDFs. If you run finite-element or flow simulations, please include the reports so I can show them to the shop. Experience with compression molding, biodegradable materials, and tray-sized tooling will set you apart. Let’s put a reliable, scalable mold on my bench and keep single-use plastics out of the greenhouse.
