I’m ready to take a new lithium-ion pack from concept to production and need a metal enclosure and outer package engineered for harsh, industrial environments. The housing has to look robust, feel premium, and—most importantly—deliver IP65 waterproofing, real shock and vibration protection, and reliable thermal management during high-rate charge and discharge. Metal is non-negotiable, but I’m open to your guidance on specific alloys, finishes, and fabrication routes (cast, stamped, machined, or hybrids) as long as they balance durability with manufacturability. I’ll supply mechanical footprints, connector positions, and a set of reference images so you can draw visual inspiration while still exercising design freedom. What I need from you is a fully resolved, production-ready solution: • 3D CAD model (native SolidWorks preferred, STEP acceptable) and detailed 2D drawings • Complete sealing strategy—gasket profile, groove geometry, fastener pattern—to satisfy IP65 • Integrated shock-absorbing features that survive typical 1 m industrial drops and constant vibration • A thermal pathway (heat-spreading plates, fins, phase-change material, or other) shown through simulation or calculation to keep cell temperature rise < 15 °C at 30 A • Bill of materials with surface treatments and torque specs plus an assembly guide for our contract manufacturer Acceptance criteria 1. Continuous gasket path and torque call-outs clearly modeled for IP65. 2. Drop/vibration rationale demonstrated via FEA or equivalent. 3. Thermal analysis evidence provided (steady-state or transient). 4. All CAD files open error-free and are ready for tooling.
