Goal: create 5x 3D cartoon animal characters based on pictures of typical ceramic handcraft. They must be original designs and have all an identifiable style.
Animals: they include in principle a bull, a horse, a hawk, a condor, a hairless dog, but the list is not definitive. The distinctive features are to be discussed once the project is assigned. Many of those features are more related to texturing.
Stages: I don't expect this project to be done overnight, or in 48 hours so please make realistic proposals. I expect the creation process to be back and forth so that the output is as expected. The stages are:
1. Discussion and Research: where i provide pictures and images of how the original ceramic handcraft looks like and we discuss the minimal ingredients the character should have.
2. Sketch: this is basically a pencil and paper proposal.
3. 3D modeling
4. Texturing: which is an important step to capture the essence of the original handcraft figure.
6. Rendering/Short clip animation
Output: deliverables in formats .3ds .fbx .obj .stl. These files will be used to 3D print each character.
Property rights: I will keep property rights on all figures
Quotes: the quotes can be per character or for all characters.
UPDATE: I have attached a pdf file in which I attempt to convey the idea for the bull. In the first page, one case see pictures of the typical figure. In the following pages, one can see modern versions of it, all designed using 3D software. But those are still "sculptures". I want to take it one step further and make it a character. This update is for those that requested more details about what I am looking for. The pdf can also be found here: [login to view URL]
