I'm seeking a developer to create an adaptive driver-intent blind spot warning system focused on safety enhancement. The system should provide visual and auditory alerts, activated on side mirrors. Cheapest Recommended Build Strategy 1. 3D Printed Housing Use: • PLA for ultra-cheap testing • PETG for better durability • ABS if higher heat resistance needed PETG or ABS are much better for automotive testing because PLA can deform in heat. 2. Off-the-Shelf Radar Module Instead of designing custom radar hardware: • buy existing development modules • mount inside enclosure Cheapest Path Use: • 24GHz radar dev kit • Arduino/ESP32 controller • 3. LED Alert System • Simple high-brightness LEDs. 4. Battery System Use: • off-the-shelf USB battery bank initially Do NOT custom-build batteries yet. 5. Mounting System Cheapest approach: • 3D printed clamp • rubber pads • stainless screws Do NOT engineer fancy quick-release systems yet. 6. Firmware Cheapest prototype firmware: • simple detection logic • LED trigger only • no app • no Bluetooth initially This alone can save thousands. Recommended Cheapest Prototype Configuration SafeGuard AI V1 Components • PETG 3D printed housing • Off-the-shelf 24GHz radar module • ESP32 controller • Bright LED strip • USB battery bank • Adjustable printed clamp Functionality • detects nearby vehicle • activates LED • mounts on side mirror • survives basic road testing That is enough to: • demonstrate concept • test airflow • test visibility • show investors • start licensing conversations Please submit your proposal detailing your approach, relevant experience, and any similar projects you've completed.
