Freelance Mechanical Engineer – Enclosure & Manufacturing Design (Fusion 360) We’re seeking a skilled freelance mechanical engineer to support our team with electronic enclosure design and general mechanical design tasks. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in Fusion 360, 3D printing, and manufacturing-oriented design. Responsibilities: Design custom electronic enclosures optimized for manufacturability and thermal performance. Develop mechanical components and assemblies using Fusion 360. Collaborate with our team to iterate on design concepts and prototypes. Prepare models for 3D printing and other manufacturing processes. Ensure designs meet functional, aesthetic, and production requirements. Requirements: Proven experience with Fusion 360 for mechanical design. Familiarity with 3D printing technologies and constraints. Understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles. Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality CAD models. Strong communication skills and responsiveness. Bonus Skills: Experience with electronics integration. Knowledge of materials and manufacturing techniques (e.g., injection molding, CNC machining). Prior freelance or remote collaboration experience.
