High Level Requirements
* Looking to use XCART as our base ecommerce platform. Need it to support affiliate processing (linking to other affiliate sites) as well as typical ecommerce processing.
* Initially needs to be able to support affiliate links in the product catalog. If the products are tagged as affiliate products, the buy button needs to take you to the affiliate site with the appropriate link code. View Cart and Checkout processing are not needed if a site is an affiliate site.
* Initial site to convert over is simplycorporategifts.com. Plan to launch other affiliate based sites after this. Custom colors and template created to reflect corporate gifts business. All I'm looking for is an ecommerce capability in XCART that supports the affiliate model as well as traditional ecommerce.
* Next phase of business is to launch ecommerce sites. Would like to reuse structure and layout of first site for new sites and just change color templates (via CSS or standard XCART facilities). With each site, add custom design logo and artwork to match site content. Could be follow on work related to site customization for upcoming planned sites.
* Need to ensure XCART is the right product to handle SEO for meta tags and product titles. Developer needs to have experience with XCART SEO.
* May eventually need support to install site at my hosting provider and may need support down the road to connect to payment gateway. Developer should have installation and gateway setup experience if needed but it is not mandatory.
Specific Tasks Required for Bidding
1. Create logo and skin for XCART which ties into simplycorporategifts.com.
2. Customize XCART to match as closely as is feasible with standard cart features the design layout and screen flow in the attached slides.
3. Add in customization to support affiliate processing. If products are tagged as affiliate products in the product table then launch affiliate site with appropriate link code for that product.
4. Clearly document how to use SEO features within XCART.
