The nine songs below, all released since 2013, have been viewed more than a billion times on YouTube since they were posted (number of views listed below are as of August 9). Please click on ONE of these songs and watch the video link and read the lyrics and artist bio. Then write the history of that song using one song from each of the first five weeks of the course (i chose I chose Adele "Hello" and the five other songs are "I want to hold your hand" by the Beatles 1964, "ain't that a shame" by fats domino 1955, "heartbreak" by Led Zeppelin, "wonderwall" Oasis 1995 and "like a virgin" Madona 1984 ) . For instance, you could tell the history of "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke and Pharrell by writing about "Tutti Frutti" (1956), "Say It Loud" (1965), "Everyday People" (1969), "Let's Go Crazy" (1984) and "My Adidas" (1986). Whichever songs you choose, you should say enough about each song to justify its inclusion on your list, make connections among all five songs as you move from one to the next, while also making connections to the present-day song that you pick to write about. Your response should be at least eight short paragraphs, with an introduction describing the present-day song and listing the other five songs you've chosen; a paragraph for each of the six songs in chronological order, and a conclusion.
