Cartoonish Character Illustrations

We are looking for a talented illustrator to create high-quality, scene-based illustrations that will be used in animations. The illustrations will be designed as per the scenes provided in our storyboard/document and must align with our project’s visual style. You will be working with Storyset’s Character Pana style ([login to view URL] ) to ensure consistency, clarity, and adaptability for animation. As these files will be animated, special attention must be given to layer organization, grouping, and naming conventions within Adobe Illustrator. Responsibilities - Create custom illustrations for each scene provided in the storyboard/document. - Use Character Pana style (Storyset) as the design reference. - Deliver illustrations in Adobe Illustrator (.AI) format with well-structured, properly named layers for smooth animation handoff. - Ensure all character and object elements are separated into layers (e.g., head, body, arms, legs, props, backgrounds). - Collaborate with the animation team to adapt illustrations for motion. - Maintain brand consistency, visual appeal, and storytelling clarity across all scenes. - Make revisions based on feedback from the creative team. Requirements - Strong portfolio showcasing illustration skills, preferably with flat/vector style characters. - Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and vector-based illustration. - Experience creating illustrations for animation purposes (layer separation, rig-ready assets). - Familiarity with Storyset / Character Pana style is a big plus. - Strong attention to detail in layer structure and naming conventions. - Ability to work within deadlines and adapt based on feedback. Deliverables - Scene-based illustrations as per the storyboard/document. - Editable .AI files with the following conventions: - Layer Naming Examples: Character_Head Character_LeftArm Character_RightLeg Prop_Table BG_Sky - Each scene grouped and organized for easy export. - Final files prepared and delivered in formats ready for animation. Nice to Have - Prior experience working with motion graphics / animation teams. - Knowledge of After Effects or similar tools to understand animation workflows. - Creativity to suggest visual enhancements to scenes.
