# IMPORTANT — READ THE FULL DESCRIPTION BEFORE APPLYING **DO NOT BID UNTIL YOU HAVE READ THIS BRIEF.** To prove you have read it, begin your proposal with: **“I have read the full project description, and here is why I believe I am the right fit for your brand.”** Then give me a **detailed explanation of why you are the right candidate**, supported by relevant files, previous garments, collections and tech-pack examples. **Please do not waste your time or mine by sending generic, automated or irrelevant work that does not meet the description below. It will be a waste of both our time.** ## THE PROJECT I am looking for an experienced **streetwear/fashion designer and technical apparel designer** to help develop an initial summer range and potentially become a **long-term creative partner for the brand**. I am not looking for someone who simply places graphics or logos onto blank garments. I want someone who understands **garment design itself** — silhouettes, proportions, construction, fabrics, GSM, stitching, trims, hardware, washes, printing, embroidery, branding and all the smaller details that make premium streetwear stand out. I am building this with the intention of creating a **long-lasting legacy streetwear brand**, not a short-term startup project. I want to find someone who can eventually understand the brand deeply enough to help turn my ideas, references and vision into complete collections. ## INITIAL SUMMER RANGE The first project will involve approximately **6–8 pieces**, potentially including: - Short-sleeve button-up shirts - Shorts - Long-sleeve tops - Belts - Socks - Hats/headwear - Other complementary summer pieces we develop together I already have an established brand identity, logos, artwork, references and creative ideas. Your role is to help transform these into **original, cohesive, commercially viable and manufacturer-ready garments.** ## PROJECT SCOPE The project will broadly follow: **Vision → Research → Concepts → Design → Refinement → Tech Packs → Sampling → Manufacturing** ### 1. Creative Direction We will discuss the brand, collection direction, references, current trends, fabrics, silhouettes, colours, construction, details and the intention/story behind each piece. I expect you to contribute your own ideas and professional opinions rather than simply wait for instructions. ### 2. Garment & Collection Development Develop approximately 6–8 pieces including: - Concepts and sketches - Silhouettes and proportions - Fabric/material recommendations - Colourways - Construction details - Branding and graphic placement - Embroidery/print applications - Stitching details - Custom trims and hardware - Leather details where appropriate - Finishing and wash ideas The garments need to work together as a **cohesive collection**, not look like unrelated individual designs. ### 3. Design Refinement We will collaborate through calls and messages to refine the strongest concepts until the garments are ready for production development. Communication is extremely important. I want someone who is comfortable discussing ideas, explaining their reasoning, receiving feedback and also challenging my ideas when their professional experience suggests a better direction. ### 4. Manufacturer-Ready Tech Packs For approved designs, I require professional tech packs that can be sent directly to manufacturers. Depending on the garment, these should include: - Technical flats - Measurement/specification sheets - Size/grading information where required - Fabric composition and GSM - Pantone/colour references - Construction and stitching details - Print/embroidery specifications - Artwork dimensions and placements - Labels and branding placement - Buttons, zippers and hardware - Trims - Leather patch specifications where applicable - Bill of Materials (BOM) - Manufacturer notes and callouts I want someone who understands **how clothing is actually manufactured**, not just how to make something look good in Illustrator. ### 5. Sampling Support Experience communicating with manufacturers and assisting with sample corrections is highly preferred. Please state whether sampling support and tech-pack updates following samples are included in your price or charged separately. ## THE PERSON I AM LOOKING FOR I want someone with genuine depth in **streetwear and contemporary fashion**. You should understand current and emerging trends but also know how to take inspiration without simply copying what other brands are doing. You should be capable of taking: **An idea/reference/story → developing the concept → creating an original garment → technically preparing it for manufacturing.** I am particularly interested in someone experienced with: - Premium/luxury streetwear - Custom garment construction - Fabric selection - Modern and oversized silhouettes - Custom trims and hardware - Embroidery and printing - Leather details - Hats and accessories - Collection development - Professional tech packs - Manufacturer communication ## LONG-TERM RELATIONSHIP This is extremely important. I am **not only hiring for one collection**. I want to find a designer I can build a long-term working relationship with. As the brand develops, I want this person to understand our identity, characters, design language, quality standards and the intentions behind the clothing. Eventually, I want to be able to bring you the vision for a collection and have you help turn that vision into something stronger through your own creative and technical knowledge. I am building this with the intention of creating a **legacy brand that lasts**, not simply launching another short-term streetwear startup. For the right person, there will be **ongoing collections, garments and design work**. ## COMMUNICATION & COLLABORATION You must be comfortable with: - Regular messaging - Voice/video calls when required - Sharing and developing ideas - Discussing references - Explaining design decisions - Collaborating through revisions - Giving professional opinions - Working efficiently to agreed timelines I want a **collaborative creative process**, not someone disappearing for two weeks and returning with finished files. I want someone who understands the intention behind what we are creating and can help develop that intention into the actual clothing. ## PRICE & EFFICIENCY I want **high-quality work at reasonable long-term pricing**. I am not automatically choosing the cheapest bidder, but pricing needs to make sense if we are going to work together consistently. Please clearly explain: - Price per design - Price per complete tech pack - OR price for the complete initial 6–8 piece project - What revisions are included - Sampling support costs - Expected turnaround times - Availability for ongoing work I value designers who are **efficient, organised, reliable and transparent with pricing.** ## WHAT YOU MUST SEND WITH YOUR APPLICATION **Do not simply tell me “I can do this.” Show me why.** Please provide: 1. A detailed explanation of **why you are the right fit for this specific project** 2. Relevant streetwear/fashion portfolio 3. Previous collections you have developed 4. Garments you personally designed 5. Examples of complete tech packs 6. Technical drawings, specification sheets and BOM examples 7. Examples showing concept through to final garment development 8. Manufactured garments you helped create, if available 9. Your experience working with manufacturers 10. Your pricing and turnaround time 11. Your availability for calls and ongoing collaboration Confidential information from previous clients can obviously be removed from examples. **I would rather see five highly relevant examples than fifty unrelated designs.** ## DO NOT APPLY IF: - You primarily do graphic or logo design - You only place graphics onto blank garments - You cannot produce professional tech packs - You have little understanding of garment construction - You cannot show relevant previous work - You rely on generic templates - You cannot communicate and collaborate through calls - You haven't read this description - You are sending a generic proposal to every Freelancer project I am specifically looking for someone who understands **the garment itself as a design object** — silhouette, proportions, construction, materials, trims, hardware, graphics and finishing all working together. ## FINAL CHECK Your application **must start with:** **“I have read the full project description, and here is why I believe I am the right fit for your brand.”** Then actually tell me **why you are the right fit** and provide relevant work that proves it. If that sentence isn't included, I will assume you haven't read the brief and your application will not be considered. I am looking for someone who can help turn a creative vision into **complete, distinctive, manufacturer-ready collections** and potentially grow alongside the brand for years. **For the right designer, this summer range is only the beginning.**

I have read the full project description, and here is why I believe I am the right fit for your brand. You're not really hiring for 6 to 8 pieces. You're hiring for the design language that has to survive past this first drop and hold up across every collection after it, with a different manufacturer possibly involved each time. That raises one question worth settling before any sketch work starts: which construction and spec standards are non-negotiable across every piece and every factory, and which details can flex by garment type? Most collections lose consistency not in the design phase but in the handoff, when specs drift slightly between manufacturers and the brand starts looking assembled rather than designed. Locking this down early protects the legacy feel you're building toward. Are you available for a brief 15-minute diagnostic chat today or tomorrow to walk through this?

I have read the entire project description, and here are the reasons why I believe I could be the right person for your brand. I have over 20 years of fashion design experience, working beyond the design desk and managing the process from product development to the final garment. I understand how to create the right product for the right market and price, with the right fabric, construction and production method. My technical and fabric knowledge is strong, with extensive experience in embroidery, trims, accessories, washing and garment construction across both women's and men's wear. My two strongest qualities as a designer are **color combinations and commercial thinking**. I am not highly experienced in headwear, and I prefer to be transparent about that. I am not attaching random samples. I believe a design should be created after understanding the brand and its vision. Most of my previous collections are private and covered by client agreements, so they cannot be shared publicly. If my profile and experience interest you, I would be happy to prepare a **small 2027 Summer concept specifically for your brand**. Pricing can be discussed per product or for the complete 6–8 piece collection, depending on the scope. I value direct communication: I ask questions, share my professional opinion and, when necessary, challenge a decision if I believe it will benefit the brand. If this matches your working style, I would be very happy to discuss the project.

I have read the full project description, and here is why I believe I am the right fit for your brand. Hi, You are looking for a designer who understands the garment as a whole — from concept and silhouette through fabric, construction, trims, technical development, sampling and production. That is exactly how I work. I’m a fashion designer with 6+ years of experience in luxury and contemporary RTW, and graduated from Istituto Marangoni London in 2019. I also have 7+ years of experience creating technical CADs and production-ready tech packs in Adobe Illustrator, working directly with pattern makers, ateliers and manufacturers. Most recently, I’ve worked remotely with a New York luxury RTW brand, developing garments from scratch through production. I develop designs, source fabrics and trims, review toiles and samples, and communicate corrections directly with pattern makers and ateliers. Although my background is mainly luxury RTW, I see this as a strength for premium streetwear. I have strong knowledge of silhouette, proportion, fabrication, construction and finishing, and have also worked on unisex streetwear. My technical work includes flats, specifications, construction details, print/embroidery placement, trims, hardware, branding, BOMs and manufacturer callouts. For the initial 6–8 pieces, my bid is $2,000 AUD, including two revision rounds at each development stage from concept through tech packs. Please feel free to view some of my work on my profile.

I have read the full project description, and here is why I believe I am the right fit for your brand. Hi, I really liked the direction of this project, especially that you're looking for someone to develop the actual garments and collection, not just put graphics on blanks. I've been working with fashion for around 3 years and I also run my own small clothing business. I work with product development, sourcing from China, suppliers, fabrics, pricing, packaging and selling, so I'm familiar with both the creative and practical side of developing products. I also use AI and design tools to develop concepts, test different directions, colourways and garment details. I can share relevant examples of my fashion work with you. What interests me most is the long-term opportunity. I'd rather understand one brand deeply and develop its design language over multiple collections than simply deliver a few designs and disappear. For the first 6–8 pieces, I'd like to see your brand identity, references and ideas, then we can discuss the direction, pricing and timeline. I'm comfortable with regular calls, messages, feedback and revisions. Happy to discuss the collection and show you my work.

I have read the complete project description, and here is why I believe I am the right person for your brand. I’m Camila, a Fashion Designer specializing in collection development, product design, and production-ready tech packs. I have developed collections for clients in 15 countries, combining creative development with the technical expertise needed to take products from concept to production. What makes this project particularly interesting to me is your focus on building a distinctive brand rather than simply creating individual garments. I can help translate your ideas, references, and creative direction into cohesive collections with strong silhouettes, thoughtful details, fabrics, colors, and a clear product identity. For the initial summer collection, I can develop the pieces as a cohesive range, ensuring each product contributes to the overall brand language while remaining commercially relevant and production-ready. I can handle the process from concept development and garment design through technical drawings and complete tech packs. I’m also interested in building a long-term creative partnership as the brand evolves through future collections. I would be happy to share relevant examples of my previous collections, garments, and technical packs via private message. Kind regards, Camila Fashion Designer ?✨
