I am looking to run a client-paid pilot with GIS, landscape, environmental, irrigation, drone mapping, and agricultural professionals who need location-specific soil and site intelligence reports for active or upcoming client projects. A generic sample report is attached for review. The sample shows the type of property-level soil and site intelligence output that can be generated from a property address or latitude/longitude and then incorporated into a professional GIS, landscape, environmental, irrigation, or land-evaluation workflow. I have been speaking with GIS consultants and environmental professionals who perform parcel-level suitability analysis. This pilot evaluates a structured soil and hydrology intelligence workflow designed to reduce preprocessing time and accelerate early-stage site screening. I would value your perspective on whether this type of report and GIS-ready data output would integrate into the kinds of projects you handle. For each pilot assignment, the participant provides a property address or latitude/longitude. I prepare and deliver the soil and site intelligence report through Freelancer; the participant’s role is to evaluate, interpret, and test how the report fits into their professional workflow. This pilot is intended for professionals who already work in landscape design, GIS mapping, environmental consulting, irrigation planning, drone mapping, agriculture, land evaluation, or sustainability-related site assessment. The ideal participant should be able to interpret geospatial, environmental, or soil-related information and turn it into practical written observations that a non-technical client can understand. Relevant Experience May Include GIS mapping, QGIS, ArcGIS, Google Earth Engine, or remote sensing Soil analysis, drainage review, irrigation planning, or landscape site assessment Environmental consulting, land-use planning, agricultural consulting, or sustainability reporting Drone mapping, parcel review, or property-level site analysis Technical report writing and client-facing PDF deliverables Interpreting public soil, satellite, parcel, or environmental datasets Typical Pilot Assignments May Include Providing a property address or latitude/longitude for a site Receiving a location-specific soil and site intelligence report through Freelancer Reviewing soil and drainage information for that property Interpreting GIS-based site data Preparing a clear written site intelligence summary Creating landscape, irrigation, or land-use planning notes Identifying site constraints, risks, and opportunities Blending the report into a broader professional client deliverable Reviewing final report language for clarity, accuracy, and usefulness Pilot Deliverables From Each Participant Each participant will be asked to review the PDF report and, where available, the GIS-ready GeoJSON output. The feedback deliverables are: A written or quoted use case explaining how the report and/or GeoJSON output could support a real parcel-screening, GIS, landscape, irrigation, environmental, or land-evaluation workflow A workflow integration note explaining where the PDF and GeoJSON output would fit into the participant’s current process, including QGIS, ArcGIS, Mapbox, Leaflet, parcel screening, client reporting, or technical library use One direct recommendation for improving the report, GeoJSON fields, layer structure, metadata, terminology, API output, or client-facing usefulness This pilot is suitable for professionals who already provide GIS, landscape, environmental, agricultural, irrigation, drone mapping, or land assessment work and want to test location-specific soil intelligence as part of their existing client workflow. GIS-Ready Output Available In addition to the client-ready PDF report, each report can include a downloadable GeoJSON file for GIS testing. The GeoJSON follows the RFC 7946 FeatureCollection format and can be loaded into QGIS, ArcGIS, Mapbox, or Leaflet. The file includes a parcel area-of-interest layer where available, or an approximated 1-hectare, 100 m × 100 m square centered on the report centroid when stored parcel geometry is not yet available. Approximated geometry is clearly flagged in the metadata. A centroid point includes key soil, hydrology, vegetation, risk, and provenance attributes for workflow testing and overlay against the participant’s own parcel data. The GeoJSON includes field definitions for key numeric indices, including NDVI and soil moisture index, so GIS users can understand source, range, and meaning when reviewing the raw file. With the participant’s permission through Freelancer, anonymized or edited feedback may be used in product documentation, internal research, or marketing materials. Reports are intended for informational and preliminary planning support only and are not a substitute for licensed engineering, architectural, surveying, permitting, or regulatory determinations.
