Hi — the hard part here is not standing up GPU infra, it’s making the path from notebook to deployed model behave the same every time. A lot of stacks look production-ready until a model with different dependencies, larger weights, or higher concurrency lands and latency spikes under load. That can cause flaky deployments and inconsistent performance in real use, so I design infra, packaging, and serving as one system from day one. The flow should be: engineer trains or updates a model → one command builds and versions the container → CI validates dependencies and smoke tests inference → IaC provisions or updates GPU-ready runtime → model deploys behind monitored endpoints → logs, metrics, and rollback stay built in. The part to get right early is the packaging and serving contract, because it affects both team usability and production correctness. This is very doable with the right foundation from the start.

i’ve done very similar recently, building end-to-end AI infra with Terraform + Docker + Kubernetes + CI/CD for model deployment. Which cloud targets are priority (AWS/GCP/Azure) or do you want full multi-cloud from day one? What latency/throughput targets should the serving layer meet under load? I suggest using Terraform + Helm on Kubernetes because it keeps infra reproducible and cloud-agnostic. I also suggest separating training and inference pipelines because it improves scaling and avoids resource contention. I will first design IaC modules (compute, networking, secrets) and set up CI/CD with model build/test pipelines. Then I will containerize models and deploy with autoscaling inference services.
