This is quite fascinating project to work on. I can assist in both hardware design as well as firmware for it. Only caveat is, I dont have Altium license anymore as I am fully inclined to KiCad these days. If you have valid Altium license I can use that or else KiCad is only thing I can design it with. However the complete design will be 3D enabled, hence you will get a STEP file for the design in case you plan to build a custom enclosure for it. In regards to project requirement, I have extensive working experience in STM32H7x (Dual core, LL Bare metal and RTOS Based) as well as ESP32. I am from electronics background, so having great experience in designing hardwares for industrial domain. My plan is to design the hardware first, test the prototype (if you think you need me to assist in that) and then building the basic testing firmware for it that will demonstrate everything is working perfectly. Regarding payment schedule, We can discuss that. If you think you need a person who can assist in all aspects of this development, please do not hesitate to get in touch to discuss without any obligations. I have more than 10 years of experience in STM32 and ESP32 as well as worked extensively in CAN, Wireless, Custom bootloader design and many other things which will take lot of space to describe in here. Will share when contacted.

As a seasoned systems architect, I'm uniquely equipped to tackle the challenges your automotive controller PCB project entails. Solving complex bottlenecks where software and hardware interface- like timing drifts, signal noise, and DFM/EMC compliance is my specialty. Factoring in these intricacies from the onset will ensure your product works seamlessly in the real world, not just in a simulator. With extensive experience designing for FPGA & RF (specifically Xilinx Zynq), Embedded SoCs (including specific STM32 and ESP32 models you've mentioned), and proficiency with Altium Designer, I bring top-level technical competency to circuit design, electrical engineering, and PCB layout tasks. Moreover, I've handled multiple projects related to CAN bus design, firmware integration with 3rd party modules, power management for efficient voltage conversion (which includes reverse-polarity protection & cold crank handling that you require) among other impressive feats. My work is driven by meticulous quality testing; delivery isn't just about lines of code but also ensuring "Ground Truth" - benchmark tables accompanied by physical oscilloscope verification that guarantee reduced risk and assured integration.

AUTOMOTIVE CAN FD Hi, I am an embedded systems engineer with over 16 years of experience taking automotive ECUs, CAN gateways and mixed-signal controllers from concept to production. Confidential examples can be shown privately under NDA. I have tested TVS/load-dump clamps, ideal-diode reverse polarity, eFuses, cold-crank/UVLO and latched shutdown, and used TJA1044/TCAN1042 transceivers plus MCP2518FD controllers. The fail-safe bridge would use a de-energized NC, low-capacitance dual-pole automotive relay on CANH/L, restoring continuity on any power/control loss with impedance-controlled, minimal-stub routing. I suggest STM32H743ZIT6 for true 2 MB dual-bank flash, dual FDCAN, I/O and headroom. I recommend ESP32-WROOM-32E-N16 for the required radios and 16 MB flash; onboard PSRAM would require WROVER-E-N16R8. I have delivered CAN/ignition wake, low-Iq sleep, latched power, delayed shutdown, validated A/B updates with rollback and USB DFU. I will provide working CubeIDE and ESP-IDF test firmware. I use licensed Altium Designer 25, will complete all work personally and report weekly. Plan: architecture/BOM 1 week; schematic 2; placement/routing 3; manufacturing review 1; bring-up 2; validation/firmware/handover 3. I can also support EMC and production testing. Please contact me to discuss details.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ AUTOMOTIVE CAN FD I've designed automotive-grade embedded controllers using STM32 and ESP32 platforms, including CAN/CAN FD networks, protected automotive power supplies, mixed-signal PCBs, and production firmware. This project aligns well with my experience in taking vehicle electronics from architecture through prototype validation. For this controller, I would recommend the STM32H743/753 family for its dual-bank Flash, ample RAM, CAN FD capability, performance, and long-term support. For wireless connectivity, the ESP32-WROOM-32E (16 MB Flash) or ESP32-WROVER (Flash + PSRAM) would be my preferred choice, depending on memory requirements. My approach includes automotive load-dump, reverse-polarity, cold-crank, and eFuse protection, AEC-Q qualified components where appropriate, controlled-impedance CAN routing, RF-compliant ESP32 placement, and fail-safe hardware architecture. The CAN bridge would be implemented with independent hardware so CAN1 and CAN2 remain connected even during MCU reset, firmware update, or failure. I will personally complete the schematic, Altium PCB, component selection, manufacturing package, STM32CubeIDE validation firmware, ESP32 firmware, bring-up documentation, and milestone reviews. Weekly progress updates and design reviews are standard practice.
