We are looking for an experienced PCB designer to modify and redesign an existing PCB badge. We already have a working PCB badge design along with the Gerber files and a new visual concept for the badge. The electronics and functionality should remain largely unchanged. The main requirement is to adapt the existing design to a new badge shape and layout. The current badge has contact pads at the bottom and supports three SIM card formats (full-size, mini, and micro SIM). For the new design: - The PCB should follow the new tower-shaped badge artwork that we will provide. - Contact pads should remain at the bottom of the badge on the front side. - The existing three SIM card cutouts should be replaced with a single Micro SIM slot. - The Micro SIM slot should be positioned on the back side of the badge. - Existing circuitry and functionality should be retained as much as possible. - Minor adjustments to the layout may be required to fit the new shape. We will provide: - Existing PCB design files/Gerber files - Images and dimensions of the current badge - New badge artwork and shape reference Deliverables: - Updated PCB design files - Manufacturing-ready Gerber files - PCB renders (front and back) - Any other files required for PCB fabrication When applying, please share: Examples of similar PCB or badge projects you have worked on The PCB design software you use (KiCad, Altium, Eagle, etc.) Your estimated timeline for completing the project This is a modification of an existing design, not a completely new PCB design from scratch.

I have been doing PCB design for over a decade, and redesigning existing boards is something I handle routinely. Your badge needs a clean layout update, and I can deliver that without any unnecessary back-and-forth. I will work from your existing files, optimize the placement and routing, and hand you back production-ready Gerbers. I handle the full stack from schematic to PCB layout, and I ship working prototypes globally. If you want a straightforward, no-drama redesign that just works, I am your person. Let me know when you want to start.

I came across your PCB badge redesign project and it genuinely caught my interest. I love working on projects where I can take an existing design and breathe new life into it while keeping the core concept intact. With six years of hands-on experience in PCB design and firmware integration, I have worked on similar redesigns where understanding the original layout was just as important as improving it. I can handle everything from schematic updates to final layout optimization, making sure the new board is cleaner and more reliable. I would be excited to collaborate with you on this.

Hi, I can expertly adapt your existing PCB badge design into the new tower-shaped layout while preserving its core electronics and functionality. Using professional EDA tools like KiCad, I am highly experienced in handling custom PCB outlines, decorative artistic copper, and mechanical layout constraints for wearable tech and badges. I will precisely position the contact pads on the front bottom, remove the old cutouts, and seamlessly integrate the single Micro SIM slot onto the back side. My process ensures all existing circuitry is safely rerouted to fit the new profile while fully passing Design Rule Checks for manufacturing. I will deliver production-ready Gerbers, updated design files, and high-quality 3D renders of both sides within four days, including dedicated review cycles to refine the aesthetics. Best regards,

Hello, I would be happy to assist with the redesign of your PCB badge. Since the electronics and functionality are already proven, this project primarily requires careful PCB re-layout and mechanical integration while preserving the existing circuitry. I am a Hardware Design Engineer with experience in schematic design, PCB layout, manufacturing preparation, and design modifications based on existing products. I work primarily in KiCad and have redesigned and optimized existing boards for new form factors, enclosure constraints, and manufacturing requirements. For your project, I can: • Adapt the PCB outline to match the new tower-shaped badge artwork • Retain the existing circuitry and functionality wherever possible • Replace the three SIM card cutouts with a single Micro SIM slot on the back side • Maintain the contact pads on the front side as specified • Optimize component placement and routing to fit the new badge geometry • Deliver updated design files, Gerbers, fabrication outputs, and high-quality PCB renders Please take a look at my portfolio for projects involving compact PCB layouts, custom board shapes, embedded electronics, and production-ready designs. I look forward to reviewing the current badge design and discussing any mechanical or manufacturing constraints before starting.

Hello, I can help redesign your existing PCB badge while keeping the current functionality intact. Since the electronics are already working, my focus will be on adapting the PCB to the new tower-shaped artwork, replacing the existing SIM arrangement with a Micro SIM slot on the back side, adjusting the layout where required, and preparing manufacturing-ready files. Deliverables: • Updated PCB design files • Gerber and fabrication files • Front and back PCB renders • Design review and DRC check before release Estimated timeline: 3 days Budget: $25 USD A few quick questions: 1. Will you provide the original PCB source files or only Gerbers? 2. Which PCB software was originally used? 3. Do you already have the exact Micro SIM holder part number? 4. Are there any board thickness or manufacturing constraints? I can start immediately after reviewing the existing files and artwork. Thank you, Chetan

I understand that you need to modify an existing PCB badge design while retaining its core functionality. Your requirement to adapt the design to a new tower shape, switch to a single Micro SIM slot, and maintain the original circuitry is crucial for ensuring that the final product meets your vision. With over 12 years of experience in PCB design using software like Altium and KiCad, I have successfully completed similar projects where adaptability and precision were key. I can efficiently integrate your new badge artwork while ensuring that all electronic components fit seamlessly into the updated layout. My proposed timeline for this modification is approximately 2-3 weeks, depending on feedback and revisions needed during the process. Could you please clarify if there are any specific regulations or standards we need to adhere to for this redesign? Looking forward to collaborating on this exciting project!
