I need my website re-configured. I have a krufty codebase in AWS for a website that’s gone through a few server migrations. It’s based on Symfony, on an older version of PHP. It’s a bit of a mess. There’s a front end to the site, and an admin interface for the editorial staff (Symfony).
In the process of some migrations, some of the images that were entered inline with text in some of the templates have gone missing. We know the names of the images, because they’re in the html. They were uploaded using a TinyMCE plugin.
This job is to:
1. Find the images
2. Ensure the images are in a directory that matches the html so we don’t have to go back and re-enter them in ~1,000 pages. There are lots of inline images but they should all be in the same directory.
3. Get the images displaying in both the admin templates in Symfony, and in the front end.
4. Not break the uploading function in TinyMCE, which we have just had fixed.
It’s possible the images are not on the current production server, although an earlier developer said they were. In any case, we still have a deprecated instance in AWS that definitely still has them. So you may need to search on 2 or 3 servers.
Note there are thousands of other images used in galleries on the site. These are unaffected by this issue.
You will need to create your own SSH keys to access the servers, so familiarity with AWS is important. I will provide access to the AWS console so you can administer the servers as needed. I will also be available to assist in testing.
