We are running a cross platform mobile quiz game which has been down for about a day. We had attempted to migrate our Linux-based EC2 servers from Ireland to Ohio to reduce cost and latency but then back-tracked, having shut down the Ohio cloned servers and then reinitialized the original instances in Ireland.
Since then the game has been buggy and so as part of our testing we attempted to start, stop, and reset certain daily quiz challenges on the CMS. After a few hours, the CMS and the app itself went down. After speaking with and walking through our CloudFormation setup with AWS customer support for a couple of hours, we discovered that our stack cannot complete an update as it is trying to reconnect to a Docker registry which is no longer online (this whole system was initialized on this registry back in 2016, which was the last time it had any activity).
We are looking for someone who can look at our CloudFormation and AWS setup and write, host, and connect a new registry so we can get this system back up. You would be working with me. I'm also an engineer but I'm more of a front-end guy. I was brought on to scale down this AWS system back in September so I'm pretty familiar with our system. I'd be happy to walk you through it and answer any questions you might have.
