Hi, I'm an Electrical and Electronic engineer based in Manchester, I focus on the creation of prototype and low volume hardware, and my clients range from health and safety work for some of the largest companies in the world to small local businesses and startups looking to prototype anything from new tools, manufacturing processes, to entertainment venues and consumer electronics. For some recent public work, check out the new venue FootyNation with their "human Pin Ball machine", which used brushless DC motors operating at 48V, of which I designed and installed the full motor driver circuit and its surrounding safety equipment. I have extensive experience with 48V industrial electronics applications, including sensors, motors and long distance networking (eg RS485). I have experience with a variety of motor types including stepper, servo, brushed DC and various forms of Brushless DC. I have a keen personal interest in electronic motor technology and have worked with a variety of form factors. Naturally I have experience with DC-DC power stages for these very common voltages of 48V, 12V, and 5V, as well as experience with PMICs. In order to provide a solid proposal I would need some more information regarding intended motor type, current/power ratings of the power stages and motor, wider requirements around BOM cost, EMI environment, hardening, protection, etc, happy to discus further.
