Simple Android Live Timestamp

I’m building a personal-use Android app or Webbase that lets me pick a video from local storage, choose a future or past date and time, and have the clip display a live-updating timestamp while it plays. Think of it as a lightweight countdown or “go-live” indicator baked directly onto the footage—no editing software required. And save as new video with timestamp. Core flow • Select or record a video within the app. • Enter the target date and time (24- or 12-hour format). • On playback the overlay shows the exact time remaining or elapsed, refreshing in real time. Notifications aren’t essential for this first version, but I’d like the code structured so push or local alerts can be added later without a rewrite.
