Job Description:
The remittance compare app (rcp) will enable users to compare remittance services from different providers, based on cost, transfer speed, and other factors. The app will also enable users to initiate transfers, track their transfers, and view their transfer history. The app will be designed with privacy in mind, and will comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements for the storage and management of personal data.
The App will also have a back-end component where all affiliate/ marketing /advertising revenues can be measured by categorising each partner and listing ALL customer referrals their transaction amounts and commission rates due.
Functional Requirements:
User Registration and Authentication (On-boarding):
The user should be able to register on the app using their email ID or social media account. The registration process should include authentication through email or mobile number. The user should also be able to log in using their credentials.
Remittance Provider Comparison:
The app should provide a comparison of different remittance providers, their exchange rates, fees, and transfer time. The comparison should be based on the user's location and currency in ‘real’ or near real-time.
Search Function:
The app should have a search function that allows the user to search for specific remittance providers or transfer routes. The search should be based on different criteria such as transfer time, cost, best overall rating and exchange rates for a particular remittance channel.
Remittance Analytics
Details on historical Remittance vendor rates offered. In much the same way as you would see on Reuters, Bloomberg, or with sites like OANDA . Display price tickers with ccy pair ticking at the bottom of the screen based on ccy pairs or remittances that have been done in the past.
Rate Alerts, Automatic emails and Newsletters to subscribing customers
Remittance Calculator:
The app should provide a remittance calculator that allows the user to calculate the cost of sending money from one country to another. The calculator should take into account exchange rates, fees, and any other charges associated with the transaction.
Transfer Confirmation& Accounting :
Once the user selects a remittance provider, the app should provide a confirmation of the transfer with details such as exchange rates, fees, and transfer time. The user should also receive a notification once the transfer is complete. This should be tied into any back-end Affiliate marketing / advertising engine, to ensure that the correct percentages due are accounted for.
User Reviews and Ratings:
The app should allow users to leave reviews and ratings of the remittance providers. The reviews should be moderated to ensure they are genuine and not fake.
Blog & User reference service
In depth detail on how each of the Remittance Services perform over time should be made available. Also specific user experiences, and the development of a knowledge DB that serves to help people transmitting funds from one country to another
Help and Support:
The app should provide a help and support section that allows the user to contact customer support if they have any issues or questions. A Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page will also be required

Performance:
The app should be fast and responsive, with a maximum load time of 3 seconds.
Security:
The app should be secure and use encryption to protect user data and transactions.
Scalability:
The app should be scalable to handle a large number of users and data.
Compatibility:
The multi-platform app should be compatible with all major browsers and mobile devices. Employ the use of the most appropriate API’s to source ‘real-time’ or near real time remittance data, as well as API’s that help perform look ups to validate address and bank details etc.
