Animated Short Film

Hi there, I have a script for a three minute pilot episode of an animated web series. The story is set sometime in the future (it's an intergalactic space show) and introduces three main characters who appear in one main setting (on board the space ship - mainly in the bridge) with various other environments referred to - maybe appearing through the window) (think Star Wars when you see planets from the main bridge window). I need three main characters to be illustrated and animated: - The lead character - an evil space lord (but he can't simply look like Darth Vader). We don't know it he's a robot or not. - Robotic assistants (one design but replicated many times). - A human medical doctor. The show is aimed mainly at a younger male audience and is a comedy. Visually, the style I am after is more characterful than caricature. I'd like to see quite a distinctive style (if you look at Daniel Pritchard on Behance dot net you'll see the kind of thing I'm after) but I don't need you to simply copy his style. I'm interested in what comes to mind when you read the script. Most importantly of all it needs to work on the web and when viewed on a smart phone - so loads of detail may not work as well- but I'm happy to hear your thoughts. In the first instance, I'd like to know what your process is in two main parts 1. Produce initial sketches of the characters and storyboards to review prior to 2. Created the animated version.
