I am a visually impaired Mac user who depends heavily on a good screen reader. I am very familiar with VoiceOver.
However, it is not ideal for low vision users like me.
I’m needing an Applescript to only speak anything that is currently under the mouse pointer.
If it can be a script that would only activate while pressing a customizable keyboard shortcut that would be the best.
Or, the next best option would be a simple shortcut to instantly toggle reading the items under the pointer on and off.
Also, if there could be a way to adjust speaking rate, and language based on MacOS speech preferences that would be a huge bonus.
This feature exists in MacOS under System Preferences/Accessibility/Spoken Text. But Apple does not provide a shortcut toggle. This is exactly what I hope you can create.
PLEASE! I'm truly desperate...
