I need a full terrain-focused GIS study of the Makkah Region so I can fabricate an accurate 3D physical model later on. Please base the work primarily on Copernicus DEM, and feel free to blend in SRTM, ALOS World 3D, any available LiDAR tiles, plus Sentinel-2 or Landsat imagery where they help refine detail or colour a final render. QGIS or ArcGIS Pro are fine; Global Mapper, GDAL and Google Earth Pro can support intermediate steps. I’ll provide the exact AOI boundary once we start. From there, I expect the following discrete outputs, all properly georeferenced in the same projected coordinate system: • Area & perimeter calculations • Min, max, mean elevation and range • Contour set at custom intervals • Slope, aspect and hillshade rasters • Terrain Ruggedness Index (TRI) & Topographic Position Index (TPI) • Ridge, valley and peak layers • Watershed and drainage network, plus basic morphometrics • 3-D surface area measurement • Road gradients and elevation profiles if any roads fall inside the AOI • High-resolution 3-D visualisation (static image and exportable scene) • Complete GIS project package (layers, styles, metadata) • A concise, polished PDF report that walks through methods, maps and key statistics Acceptance criteria 1. Every raster at ≤30 m resolution, resampled consistently. 2. Vector outputs topologically clean and snapped. 3. Project file opens with no missing links; symbology preserved. 4. The AOI shapefile isn't even in yet, which actually simplifies the first call I'd make: build the pipeline against a Copernicus DEM tile now, parameterized so the real AOI just gets dropped in later with no rework. Elevation stats, contours, slope, aspect, and hillshade are one pass through GDAL. TRI, TPI, and the ridge/valley/watershed layers are where I'd lean on WhiteboxTools, it has flow accumulation and stream network extraction built in rather than needing custom raster math. The whole thing goes into a Python script so every derivative is re-runnable the moment you send the real boundary, and if the client swaps DEM sources or wants SRTM or ALOS layered in later, it is a config change, not a rebuild. 3D surface visualization I'd do as a rendered flythrough or interactive mesh depending on what the PDF report is meant to carry, and the report itself I'd script too so the numbers and figures regenerate instead of getting hand-pasted. 30000 INR, 6 days, one milestone covering the full pipeline and report.
