Scope of Work The successful freelancer will be required to: Georeference and validate the point cloud using the supplied GPS control points; Verify registration accuracy and coordinate consistency; Extract the ground surface and generate a Digital Terrain Model (DTM/TIN); Generate contour lines and terrain breaklines; Extract spot elevations and topographic points with full X, Y and Z coordinates; Classify and vectorize all relevant visible features; Produce both GIS and CAD deliverables ready for professional use. Feature Extraction Requirements The following visible elements must be identified and represented wherever present in the point cloud: Buildings and structures; Boundary walls and retaining walls; Fences; Roads and access tracks; Pavements and curbs; Trees and vegetation; Utility poles; Manholes and inspection chambers; Drainage features; Terrain breaklines; Stairs and ramps; Level changes and embankments; Any other relevant site feature visible within the survey. 2D and 3D Deliverables All extracted features must be provided in: 2D planimetric representation; 3D representation with elevation (Z) values where applicable. I require a complete GIS dataset containing true three-dimensional geometry and coordinates. Required Deliverables A single DWG file fully compatible with AutoCAD Civil 3D. GIS files in SHP or GeoPackage format. 3D point dataset containing X, Y and Z coordinates. Digital Terrain Model (DTM/TIN). Contour lines. Spot elevation points. Layered CAD drawing with logical organization of all extracted features. All features represented in both 2D and 3D formats. Quality Requirements The final work will be reviewed based on: Accuracy against supplied GPS control points; Correct georeferencing and preservation of WGS 84 coordinates; Consistency and quality of contours; Absence of spikes, voids, and terrain anomalies; Proper feature classification; Clean layer structure and Civil 3D compatibility. Preferred Software Please indicate your experience with software such as: Leica Cyclone CloudCompare Trimble Business Center Autodesk ReCap Autodesk Civil 3D ArcGIS QGIS or equivalent professional surveying and GIS platforms. When Applying Please provide: Examples of similar projects; Software and workflow you intend to use; Estimated completion time; Fixed-price quotation. The objective is to obtain a professional survey-grade GIS and CAD deliverable equivalent to a detailed topographic survey, fully usable for engineering design, earthworks calculations, construction planning, and quantity take-offs.

I am excited to submit my proposal for the creation of a georeferenced topographic plan. With experience in surveying, GIS mapping, CAD drafting, and geospatial data processing, I can deliver an accurate and professionally prepared topographic plan tailored to your project requirements. My focus is on producing reliable georeferenced mapping that supports planning, engineering, construction, and land development activities. I will process and analyze the available survey data, coordinate information, aerial imagery, or point cloud datasets to generate a detailed topographic plan with proper georeferencing. The deliverables can include contour lines, elevation data, terrain features, boundaries, infrastructure elements, and other site-specific information in the required coordinate system. Accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable mapping standards will be maintained throughout the project. In addition to creating the final topographic plan, I will ensure that all files are delivered in the formats you require, including CAD, GIS, and PDF outputs. I am committed to clear communication, timely delivery, and providing a high-quality geospatial product that can be confidently used for design, permitting, and decision-making purposes. I look forward to discussing your project and contributing to its success.

Dear Employer I have master degree in GIS and Cartography. I graduated from AGH (Poland) and IFNTUOG (Ukraine). I use Google Earth Pro and other GIS software for a long time. Additionally, I would like to share that two years ago, I founded a company which has now grown to a team of 40+ professionals. Our company specializes in projects related to Telecommunications, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Cartography, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and related fields. For our work, we utilize a variety of tools including ArcGIS (ESRI), QGIS, MapInfo, PNI, GISFO, 3eye, Google Earth, Revit, Adobe Photoshop, among others. We did a lot of projects in Italy that were mostly connected to telecommunications, but it always means a deep analysis by using Google Maps, Google Earth, Apple maps and some other resources. I am interested to learn about the current status of your business and would welcome the opportunity to explore potential collaboration between our companies. We can give you one or more people to work with you step by step. Looking forward to your response. Best regards, Michael Zaiets

Hello! I’m Cora May, an experienced GIS and point-cloud processing specialist focused on turning cleaned LiDAR/point clouds plus GPS/RTK control into survey-grade, fully georeferenced topographic products in true WGS 84. I’ll georeference and validate the registration against your supplied control points, check coordinate consistency, then derive a high-quality DTM/TIN and breaklines to support clean contours and earthwork-ready surfaces. From the same dataset, I’ll extract spot elevations and 3D topographic points with full X/Y/Z, classify visible features (buildings, boundary/retaining walls, fences, roads, pavements/curbs, vegetation, utility poles, manholes/chambers, drainage, stairs/ramps, embankments, and level changes), and vectorize them with consistent layers for both GIS and CAD use. Deliverables will include a Civil 3D-compatible DWG organized logically by feature type, plus SHP/GeoPackage GIS outputs and a 3D point dataset (X/Y/Z). To proceed, do you know the target geodetic/coordinate metadata you want preserved in WGS 84 (e.g., WGS84 lat/long vs projected WGS84/UTM), and which Civil 3D version you’re using for the DWG compatibility check?

Hi, I am Allen from Fort Worth! I have been analyzing your project requirements, and this specific domain of topographic processing and CAD/GIS feature extraction is a strong suit of mine because of my extensive past experience. Over the years, I have refined my skills in Civil 3D, CloudCompare, and GIS data alignment, and successfully delivered robust datasets that address similar challenges, such as high-precision georeferencing and automated breakline extraction. Instead of learning on the job, I bring battle-tested workflows to your project. This deep, hands-on background allows me to bypass common registration errors and deliver a polished, highly accurate, and production-ready dataset that integrates seamlessly with your engineering pipelines. Q1. What is the average point density of your source LiDAR data, and do we have pre-established ground control points with known vertical datums to cross-verify the Z-accuracy against your RTK survey? Q2. For the Civil 3D DWG deliverable, do you require a specific corporate CAD template for styles and layer naming, or should I implement a standard AIA/NCS layer structure? Q3. How should we handle dense tree canopy or vegetation areas where the LiDAR might not have fully penetrated to the ground—would you prefer interpolation or flagging these zones as low-confidence? Regards.

Hello, I have experience processing LiDAR point clouds, GPS/RTK survey data, georeferencing, DTM/TIN creation, contour generation, terrain breaklines, feature extraction, and Civil 3D/GIS deliverables for engineering and construction workflows. I am interested in this project because it requires survey-grade accuracy, clean classification, and fully usable 2D/3D outputs rather than a basic point cloud conversion. I will validate the supplied GPS control, register and georeference the cleaned point cloud in WGS 84, extract the ground surface, generate the DTM/TIN, contours, breaklines, spot elevations, and vectorized site features, then organize everything into Civil 3D-compatible CAD and GIS layers. I can work with tools such as CloudCompare, ReCap, Civil 3D, QGIS, ArcGIS, Trimble Business Center, or Leica Cyclone depending on the source files and required output format. Thanks for reading my proposal. Edwin
