ArchiCAD Residential Draughts Person Needed

I run a busy architectural design and draughting practice in New Zealand and our project pipeline has outgrown the in-house team. I’m ready to bring in a seasoned contractor who can take ownership of construction documentation so jobs keep moving without a hitch. You’ll slot straight into our workflow in ArchiCAD, producing the full suite of detailed drawings required for building consent—floor plans, elevations and sections that read clearly for builders, consultants and council reviewers alike. Every set must comply with the New Zealand Building Code, so deep familiarity with its residential requirements is essential. Here’s what the role looks like day to day: • Translate approved concept models into coordinated construction drawing packages • Develop accurate floor plans, elevations and sections, adding the notation and dimensions council expects • Integrate engineer and consultant inputs while flagging clashes early • Maintain our ArchiCAD file standards so anyone on the team can pick up a project and know where everything lives Acceptance criteria for each project: • Complete PDF + PLN files delivered to our template standards • All drawings cross-checked against NZBC clauses relevant to the job • Councils’ RFI rounds limited to minor clarifications only If you’ve spent at least five years documenting New Zealand homes in ArchiCAD and can commit to ongoing weekly capacity, let’s talk.
