I’m interested in procuring your services for a unique content writing opportunity.
For a university art project, I require a very large, cohesive ‘script’ that would populate a hypothetical public online chatroom, with participants that are all currently at the same location.
This script should include:
~50 unique usernames/participants
Small numbers of participants are expected to be active at any given time
Consistent personalities between identities
Multiple independent yet simultaneous conversations between participants
Consistent with chat rooms, conversations should be disjointed
A wide range of discussion topics
~8 hours worth of conversation
Each message and subsequent response is not expected to be instant; lulls in the conversation are expected
Culturally neutral conversations
Scripts need to be applicable to a wide range of Western countries, and thus should not contain discussions ‘exclusive’ to one locale
Scripts should be easily transposable between locales, but venue/context-specific
Participants entering and leaving throughout the course of the chat
Assumed close physical proximity between participants
Perfect English skills
English must be your primary language
Discussions that pertain to:
Context-free topical discussions, e.g. film, music
Befriending/building rapport between participants
Typical/expected online banter
Youthful/millennial conversation style
I.e. text that has been derived from a phone keyboard
All existing rules apply to images
Pop culture references
Flirtation (this is the internet after all!)
Coarse language, within reason
The script must NOT include:
Variables too reliant on specific locales, specifically:
Locations (unless otherwise stated)
Prices of items
National events/public holidays
Exclusive local colloquialisms
Politicians beyond a national level
Discussions are expected to be realistic and believable
Established relationships; the vast majority of these users will not know each other, save for a small amount
These scripts are not required to be original, just believable. They can contain content and dialogue from anywhere, including existing online discussions (IRC, Slack, Discord, personal group chats with friends), forums or chat rooms, film and TV, so long as the content still abides by the stipulations set above.
I will eventually require multiple scripts to be written, the first of which will be at a university campus, where participants will consist mostly of first-year/freshman students (note: freshman is an American-centric term and thus should be either omitted, or used sparingly). Their discussions will largely involve observations of the campus, other students, food and drink and other typical student talk.
A sample script is attached. This discussion is expected to take place over ~30 minutes. The chat may increase and decrease in frequency of activity over the course of time. You may expand on this existing script or produce your own. I would expect 12+ pages of this script for your 3 hours of work, but the more, the better. Quantity over quality.
If the script you produce is sufficient, I would love to work with you further on additional scripts based in different environments, and on expansions of your existing script(s).
I hope this opportunity is of interest to you. Please respond with any questions you may have and I would be glad to assist you!
