Use sound, logical reasoning to argue your position. Utilize ethos (credibility), logos (logic), and pathos (emotion) in order to appeal to the reader. Be between 5-7 pages long. (Not 4.5 pages… 5 full pages at minimum) Adhere to proper MLA format.
Employ at least five credible, varied, and academic sources. Three must be academic journal articles from databases. If the other 2 are from somewhere else, you must have obtained permission from me to use them (as described in the Annotated Bibliography instructions). You may have as many sources beyond the 5 required as you wish, but remember that your essay should be mostly YOUR voice, with sources just supporting it.
Demonstrate appropriate paragraph development (topic sentence, evidence, analysis, and transitions).
Connect all ideas with strong transitions between paragraphs and transitional phrases to link ideas within paragraphs. Integrate all quoted material smoothly and ethically.
Cite all summarized, paraphrased, and quoted material with in-text citations and a Works Cited page. All citations should be in proper MLA format.
