I am looking for a Canadian writer with a special interest in craft beer. Initial hire is for a single article with potential for subsequent work.
The site is primarily for the Canadian market, ideally you will be a Canadian writer.
These articles should not be written by spinning a mix of existing articles. I am looking for truly unique content with these that may include reaching out to relevant people for unique angles/quotes.
Preference will be given to writers who are willing to allow me to credit them with the article on our site. This will include an 'Author's Bio Box' with a short description of the author's background/interest in craft beer and a profile picture which should be submitted with the first article.
Applicants should;
- Be fluent in written English
- Have a passion for craft beer (drinking or brewing) *** (see bottom)
- Have strong research skills
- Understand the importance of unique content
- Take pride in their work
I am looking for applicants to pitch me some ideas of what they would like to write about in relation to craft beer.
I am interested in articles that tell the true stories of breweries, brewmasters, craft beer establishments etc..
I am not looking for individual beer reviews, but, if you can spin a unique beer into an interesting factual story I'd be willing to listen to the pitch.
These are just some ideas, but, don't let that limit your article ideas. I want authors to write to their strengths and interests.
A 5% bonus will be given for supplying a relevant quality photo with the article. This can be taken by the author attending an event, brewery, etc.. or by reaching out to those involved in the article for a usable picture.
