Dear Dr. Ayes2882,
I am intrigued by your qualifications, although it would be good to put a ' after the word "colleagues" in your profile. Will you please let me know your fee, or would you be willing to do the job for $0 simply for the opportunity to hear of an "alternative" theory on heart attack causation, with substantiating information? Of course, being a layperson, I would be very glad of an MD's input to my description of said theory.
Looking forward to your reply when you get a chance, and I would appreciate a note within it that my description in the full project, would be kept entirely confidential, as I intend to write a book incorporating its content at my earliest opportunity. Here, again, for your reference, is the description of the project:
<<I have written a two-page justification for an autopsy on a recently deceased individual, based on a hypothesis that the cardiac "event" that occurred was due to chemical exposures and impaired detoxification capacity (spurring one or more cardiovascular spasms, rather than the "typical" heart attack explanation as linked to cholesterol, high blood pressure, etc.). I want someone with longtime editorial experience and some science background, as this alternative hypothesis/explanation of heart attack in an individual who had no history of heart disease must be understandable to laypersons and medical personnel alike. I strongly prefer a resident of the NY Metropolitan region so we can meet in person to consult, if necessary, on this and other likely future projects (this micro project is the first time I have sought a professional editor, as I once was one myself, but precision is crucial, so a second opinion is warranted). Complete confidentiality required and, as should be obvious, TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE.>>
BTW, where in the US are you located?
