I’m looking for a musician/engraver with strong classical music notation experience to transcribe the B♭ clarinet part from Schubert’s Octet in F major, D. 803 into a clean flute (C instrument) part. This is a careful transcription/transposition, not a creative arrangement: the B♭ clarinet part should be transposed down a major second while preserving the original rhythms, pitches, articulations, dynamics, slurs, ornaments, etc. Urgent: First movement I need the first movement completed within 2 days, as rehearsals begin then. The remaining five movements can follow afterward. I have provided: The original Bärenreiter Urtext PDF (authoritative source) A MuseScore file and MusicXML/MXL file of the first movement created by a friend, already transposed The existing files contain quite a few mistakes. They are provided for reference, but the original PDF should be treated as the authoritative source and the transcription should be carefully checked against it. Deliverables For each movement: Clean, professional engraved PDF flute part MuseScore (.mscz) file MusicXML (.mxl/.musicxml) file Classical music engraving experience is essential, including accurate handling of articulations, slurs, dynamics, ornaments, tuplets, repeats, and navigation markings. Please let me know your experience with classical transcription/engraving, notation software, price for the first movement, and price for all six movements. Files: [login to view URL]

Hello, I’m a professional music transcriber, arranger, and engraver with extensive experience working with classical scores. I have completed numerous transcription and notation projects, many of which are available in my portfolio. I have also transcribed the Urtext editions of Beethoven’s Piano Concertos Nos. 1, 2, and 4, demonstrating my ability to work accurately while preserving every musical detail. For this project, I can carefully transpose the B♭ clarinet part to flute, preserving the original rhythms, pitches, articulations, dynamics, slurs, ornaments, tuplets, repeats, and navigation markings. I understand that the Urtext PDF must be treated as the definitive reference, and I will carefully proofread the finished part against it. Since this is urgent, i’ll put it as top priority and deliver within 24 hours, along with the requested PDF, MuseScore, and MusicXML files. For the price for the six movements, we can negotiate on that once you award me the project. Looking forward to working with you

Hello, I can transcribe the B♭ clarinet part of Schubert's Octet, D. 803, into a clean C flute part, starting with the first movement. I'd treat the Bärenreiter Urtext as the authority and check every bar against it rather than relying on your friend's file. Pitches and rhythms, articulations, slurs, dynamics, ornaments, tuplets, repeats and navigation markings would all be preserved. Where the clarinet part drops below the flute's range, I'd mark the octave adjustment clearly and flag it for you. You'd receive a professionally engraved PDF, plus the MuseScore and MusicXML files, for each movement. I can deliver the first movement within your two-day window. The price for the first movement and for all six can be discussed once we're in contact. Best regards, Ahmed

First movement of the Octet, clarinet to flute, transposed down a major second against the Bärenreiter Urtext, correcting the existing MuseScore draft rather than trusting it. Delivery: movement one first, checked note-by-note against the PDF for pitches, rhythms, slurs, dynamics, ornaments, tuplets and repeat signs, then engraved cleanly. Output as PDF, .mscz and .mxl. v1 of movement one within 2 days as requested; remaining five movements follow in the same format once scope and order are agreed. Here is the transposition rule applied throughout: every B♭ clarinet pitch is shifted down a major second, octave register preserved (written C4 becomes flute B♭3, written G4 becomes flute F4), with articulation, slur and dynamic markings copied exactly as printed in the Urtext, not inferred from the existing file. I will not claim the existing MuseScore draft is reliable for anything beyond layout reference, since the brief itself flags its errors. Can you confirm whether any clarinet passages drop below the flute's low C, so I can flag octave adjustments before engraving starts. Price: 75 USD fixed · Timeline: 3 working days from access/brief Konrad
