We have a 11 1/2 hour of audio presentations and lectures, and I need someone with excellent English to transcribe them to Microsoft Word (2007 version).
I want you to produce an accurate and readable transcript. This means you should you need to be accurate. Leave out false starts, speaker hesitations, background noises, all uhmm's and ah's. Don’t paraphrase - you need to transcribe what the speaker says, not just the general idea of what was said.
The audio can be send on CD's or in mp3 format by email/skype, and is good quality.
Initially, I my idea is to split the work into one hour lectures. I'd like to have each one transcribed and sent back to me, before I send out the next audio file. I will make payment for each one, by PAYPAL or wiretransfer, so you can be sure of getting paid and me of the quality of the work.
Some questions for bidders -
1) How long will it take you to transcribe 1 hour of audio?
2) How long will it take you to return the completed work?
3) What's your experience?
4) What is your rate for transcribing one hour of good quality single-speaker audio ?
5) What equipment or software do you have
I will ask those interrested, to transcribe 2 minutes of the mp3 file as a trial. Apologies, this test will be unpaid, but I need to be sure that your grammar, spelling, and transcription skills are excellent - and please dont contact me, if you only use "translation softwear" .
It wouldn't be fair to award you an hour's transcription (potentially 4 or 5 hours work) if I wasn't sure that your work would be of acceptable quality - neither you or I would be happy with the outcome.
I would like to use the person for further work in the future. I constantly do seminars and often need them transcribed
Remember, I need someone with excellent English. ( mine is not - but i need to send this to clients )
