I have an operational Allen-Bradley MicroLogix 1500 system that now needs to run on a MicroLogix 1400 while being paired with a brand-new PanelView Plus 7. The work is twofold and both parts carry the same weight: • First, take the existing RSLogix 500 program from the 1500 and convert or rewrite it so it runs flawlessly on the 1400. This will involve updating the instruction set, data files, and addressing, plus adjusting the I/O mapping because I am also changing some Input/Output modules during the swap. Any required communication or messaging edits must be handled as well. • Second, build a fresh FactoryTalk View ME application for the PanelView Plus 7 by using my current HMI file as a reference. The layouts, alarms, and tag database need to stay functionally identical, but the graphics can be cleaned up for the higher-resolution screen if that speeds development. I will test the updated PLC code on real hardware, so please supply the converted .RSS file, revised I/O list, and a concise change log. For the HMI, hand over the .MER and source .APA files with all tags verified against the new controller. If you are comfortable with RSLogix 500, FactoryTalk View Studio, and have migrated I/O before, I’m ready to move quickly. Preference will be given to experienced freelancers who have successfully handled similar migrations before.
