Project Managing an office installation of AV and security systems on site in the Midlands, UK

My firm is working on a systems fit-out for a two-storey office building in the Midlands and need an experienced professional to run the project from planning through hand-over. The scope is firmly commercial, with the emphasis on three service areas: safety & security systems (Intruder alarm, access control, CCTV), a structured data network, and audio-visual solutions for several meeting rooms. You will work directly with me, the main contractor and the end client to keep the programme on track, verify workmanship against BS 7671 and all relevant IET guidance, and make sure every test certificate is in place before sign-off. Regular site presence is essential, so you should be able to travel to the Midlands easily. Key deliverables • Detailed installation schedule and weekly progress reports • Coordination of trades and material call-offs, including change-control logs • Quality inspections, snag lists and witness testing records for safety, data and AV systems • Final O&M manuals, as-built drawings and certification package ready for client hand-over If you have managed similar office-based electrical packages and are comfortable juggling safety systems, networking and AV in a live construction environment, I’d like to hear how you would approach this job and when you could start. Our company has won this project to install electronic systems, working under a main contactor and now need more project management on site coordinating our own engineers and subcontractors with the main contractors programme. It involves installing audio visual systems, integrated to lighting controls, data networks, speakers and Lutron window blind controls - not a straight forward one, but the design is well developed.
