Earlier this year we launched a website in what was effectively Phase 1. I’ve since gathered a Phase 2 punch-list focused on functionality enhancements and a handful of UI refinements that didn’t make the first release. You’ll be working in the existing codebase. Currently built in WordPress using the base AVADA theme. Gravity forms and PHP are also in use. The work revolves around tightening user flows, squashing a few lingering bugs, and adding small features that improve overall usability. I’ll share detailed tickets, repo access, and staging credentials so you can dive straight in. Clean, well-commented commits and brief change logs for each task are non-negotiable; they keep the team in sync and deployment painless. Deliverables • Clear all ratings once a voting phase has commenced. More detail can be provided. • Clearly separate the participants into two groups middle and high school. • Remove all non-essential IDS - pull ID from Gravity Forms ID number. All submissions should be associated with a single ID throughout the entire process. • All submitted artwork must have a title - or append ID to title. This will eliminate confusion when multiple artworks are names "untitled" • Rectify the voting results page and math associated with final scores. This should also be exportable. The averages should be calculated automatically. • The ability to toggle the student information on and off on the Artwork page based on voting stage. • Need Phase 1 and Phase 2 judging Phase 1 (45-46 entries selected electronically from all entries) Phase 2 (Jurors install the art and judge in person for final selections) Gallery For judging, no names/schools should be shown. - Developer Once Phase 1 judging is done, names and schools should be included. Acceptance criteria: every listed issue passes manual QA across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and common mobile breakpoints, with performance remaining equal to or better than current production. Milestones can align with logical feature groups, If you’re comfortable enhancing an existing website and enjoy polishing both the UI and underlying functionality, let’s move Phase 2 forward. Hi, I have gone through your Phase 2 punch-list carefully and I have a clear picture of what needs to be done. The voting logic, ID consolidation, judging phases and student visibility toggles are all well-defined requirements and I am confident I can work through them cleanly inside your existing Avada and Gravity Forms setup. Three quick questions: 1. Is the repo on GitHub or another platform? 2. Are the Gravity Forms entries stored in custom tables or standard WP tables? 3. Do you have a preferred milestone grouping in mind or should I propose one? I will work through each ticket methodically, keep commits clean and commented, and provide a brief change log per task so your team always knows what changed and why. All deliverables will be QA tested across Chrome, Firefox, Safari and standard mobile breakpoints before handoff. Ready to review the tickets and staging credentials whenever you are. Best regards, Hafiz Anas

I can help with this, I will work through your Phase 2 punch-list — tightening the voting flow, separating middle/high school groups, consolidating IDs via Gravity Forms, and fixing the scoring math on the results page. One thing I will prioritize early: locking down the single-ID association across the entire submission-to-judging pipeline. If Gravity Forms entry IDs are not already the sole key in your custom tables, I will refactor that first — it prevents cascading bugs in the voting reset logic, score calculations, and the Phase 1 to Phase 2 judging handoff. Questions: 1) Is the voting/scoring logic handled in custom PHP or through a plugin alongside Gravity Forms? 2) For the student info toggle — should that be a wp-admin switch, or does it need to auto-toggle based on judging phase status? Looking forward to potentially working together. Thanks, Kamran

Hi — Elias here from Miami. The real challenge here is not WordPress edits. It’s cleaning up the judging/voting data flow so submissions, Gravity Forms IDs, phases, scores, visibility rules, and exports stay consistent. A common failure in Phase 2 work is patching UI issues without fixing the underlying ID and scoring logic. That usually creates more confusion during judging, especially when artwork titles, student visibility, school groups, and final averages depend on the same records. I’d approach this by first auditing the current Avada/Gravity Forms/PHP flow, then grouping the work into: ID/submission normalization, judging phase logic, score calculation/export, artwork visibility rules, and UI cleanup. For voting, I’d make sure Phase 1 and Phase 2 states are explicit, with ratings cleared at the right transition point and student/school info controlled by judging stage. Clean commits, short changelogs, staging QA, and browser/mobile testing make sense here. One question: Are the voting scores currently stored in Gravity Forms entries, custom tables, or WordPress post/meta fields?

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ✅Hi there, hope you are doing well! I recently enhanced a WordPress site using Avada theme and Gravity Forms where I improved user flows, fixed bugs, and added features smoothly within an existing codebase. The most important part for a successful Phase 2 enhancement is clear communication around detailed tickets and maintaining clean, well-documented code commits. Approach: ⭕ Review and understand your ticket list and existing codebase ⭕ Implement requested enhancements one feature group at a time ⭕ Ensure IDs unify via Gravity Forms and artwork titles update correctly ⭕ Fix voting math and export functions with automation ⭕ Toggle student info on artwork pages by voting phase ⭕ Perform thorough cross-browser and device testing ⭕ Provide well-commented commits and clear change logs ❓Could you please clarify the expected export format for the voting results? I’m confident my careful approach and experience with WordPress enhancements will help smoothly move your Phase 2 forward without disrupting existing functions. Looking forward to collaborating with you! Best regards, Nam

Hi, there I can help implement the Phase 2 enhancements to your WordPress site, focusing on functionality and UI refinements. Here’s how I’ll tackle your tasks: Voting System Adjustments: Clear ratings once voting starts, separate participants into two groups (middle and high school), and ensure all artwork titles are clear by appending the ID. Gravity Forms & ID Fixes: Associate all submissions with a unique ID pulled from Gravity Forms. UI Enhancements: Update the voting results page, fix the math behind scores, and make it exportable. Toggle student information on the artwork page based on the voting stage. Judging Phases: Implement Phase 1 and Phase 2 judging flows, ensuring names and schools are hidden until Phase 1 is complete. Testing & Performance: Ensure all changes are QA-tested across browsers and devices, maintaining or improving performance. I’ll provide clean commits and change logs for each task. Let’s discuss the staging details and get started. Best Regards, Sean D.

Hi there, this feels very aligned. I’m very comfortable working inside an existing WordPress codebase, especially when the job is less about “building a new site” and more about tightening flows, fixing logic, and extending what’s already there in a controlled way. What stands out here is that this is really a workflow-and-data consistency project built on top of Avada, Gravity Forms, and PHP. Avada directly supports embedding Gravity Forms into existing page content, and Gravity Forms issues are often best handled through staged conflict-safe testing, cache clearing, and targeted theme/plugin debugging rather than broad changes, which fits the way I like to work on Phase 2 projects. I’d approach this by preserving the current structure, then implementing the judging and voting rules carefully around a single source of truth for IDs, titles, stage visibility, and score calculation/export. The voting workflow you described also maps well to established Gravity Forms entry-linking patterns, where related submissions can be associated through entry IDs and then surfaced or filtered by stage. Just as important, I’m used to delivering this kind of work with clean, traceable commits and brief change logs, so each ticket is easy to review, QA on staging, and deploy safely across the existing site.
